What time zone are you in?
We are based out of Fort Myers, Florida! Thus, all of our times are Eastern Standard Time!
What is the benefit to playing an escape room online?
There are actually many advantages to playing an escape room online! For starters, you can play with friends and family anywhere in the world. Have you always wanted to get your friends to visit a physical escape room, but couldn't do it due to distance or time restrictions? Now you can!
This format allows for anyone to play our games from anywhere in the world. This also gives us a chance to run multiple games simultaneously. Are these the same games you have at Escape Room Adventures in Fort Myers?
Yes! We have taken all of our games and made them digital for this online experience. Some puzzles have been slightly modified to make them more understandable online versus in our physical location.
Will a Game Master be helping my group during my remote Escape Room Adventure?
Yes indeed! Just like our in-person adventures, you will have a Game Master assigned to your group after making your reservation. Your Game Master will guide you through the entire experience, giving help on puzzles if requested.
How long is a Remote Escape Room Adventure?
Each game will last one hour. Please allow approximately 90 minutes for the entire experience which includes getting players acquainted with the game as well as a post-game wrap up.
What do I need in order to play?
After confirming your game time, you will be e-mailed a unique URL for your group. That link will open up a teleconference with Zoom. You do not need a Zoom account to play.
Each person logged into an account will need to do so on a computer. As an alternative, you may also use the Zoom app on a tablet (such as an iPad) and as long as you have the capability, you can mirror the image on a television screen as well!
Will my Game Master be able to see me?
Yes! Since Zoom is a video teleconferencing software, they will be able to see you via webcam and so will the other participants in your game.
Are the remote games private just like at the location in Fort Myers?
Yes. Once you book your game, it will block anyone else from playing during that time slot.
Can multiple players share one device or does everyone need to log on to a separate Zoom account?
It is totally up to you and your group. If you are all together in a shared space, you can certainly share a screen. If you would like to have your own, you are more than welcome to have each player log in separately.
Note: If players are in the same location, each logged on device must be in a separate room. We have found that two zoom accounts in the same room creates an echo effect.
Does each person playing need to have a ticket?
Yes. Regardless if you share a screen or if it is all different accounts logging on to Zoom, each player must pay for their own virtual ticket.
Can I use an Escape Room Adventures gift certificate to play a game remotely?
